The Managing Director of Muslim Youth Skills, Tafazal Mohammad, has been selected to be a part of the ‘Gaza 2013 Delegation’ during the Easter break by the PAL Foundation. The Foundation was founded in July 2012 after a group of student leaders, in conjunction with the University of Bradford Union, led a successful academic delegation to the Gaza strip.
Tafazal Mohammad said: "I feel very honoured to have been selected by PAL Foundation and will be travelling with elected members, community development workers/activists, Bradford University lecturers and students."
The delegation will visit various universities in the Gaza strip with the aim of delivering academic workshops and presentations as well as developing the relationships between students and academics. There will also be visits to schools, colleges, universities, nurseries, hospitals and UN buildings etc.
"I will be running a number of workshops including Community Development and Youth Leadership in Gaza. I am hoping that by sharing my experiences and knowledge in a field that I have worked for over 17 years, NGOS’ and university students alike will benefit. The long-term aim is to have a link with these students and offer them accredited courses in Community Development and Youth Work" said Tafazal Mohammad.
The Foundation welcomes any contributions that organisations/individuals can make towards academic resources, whether they are books or more substantial equipment such as cameras or laptops.
